Microwaved Komatsuna and Apple Dome Cake

I tried making this recipe simple by blending in raw komatsuna rather than the boiled kind.

You can substitute a heat-resistant bowl for a porcelain bowl of the same size.

Heating the apple will make it sweeter. Using raw apple will help it stay crisper and will give the dish a different taste.

Because the cooking time required may be different depending on your microwave, please monitor the state of the cake while heating it. For one 16 cm [6.3 in] diameter, 7 cm depth cake in a heat-resistant bowl. Recipe by Stylish Mama

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1/4Apple (chopped in 1 cm cubes)
  2. 1 tbspHoney
  3. 1/2 tspLemon juice
  4. 1/4bundle ☆ Komatsuna greens (chopped)
  5. 1☆ Egg
  6. 2 tbsp☆ Vegetable oil
  7. 1 tbsp☆Raw cane sugar (or regular sugar)
  8. 100 gramsCake flour
  9. 1 tspBaking powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop the apple into 1 cm cubes, then mix it with honey and lemon juice. Cover in a bowl loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 1 minute. Chop the komatsuna greens.

    Put all of the ingredients marked with ☆ in a blender and process.

    Sift the cake flour and baking powder together in a bowl, then add the blended mixture from Step 2 and stir together.

    Add the apple and wet ingredients from Step 1 and mix together.

    Line a heat resistant bowl (a porcelain bowl will work) with plastic wrap and pour in the cake batter. Microwave the bowl at 600 W for 4 minutes.
