  2. 1 cupall-purpose flour
  3. 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  4. 1 teaspoonpaprika
  5. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  6. 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper
  7. Vegetable oil for frying
  8. Lemon wedges to serve

    Heat vegetable oil in a pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

    Fry the rings in batches until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per batch).

    Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried calamari, placing them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
    Serve hot with lemon wedges.
