Ingredients

  1. 3 cupsbran
  2. 5 cupssifted bread flour
  3. 2 cupsscalded milk
  4. 1 tablespoonsalt
  5. 3 packagesyeast
  6. 1/4 cupmolasses
  7. 4 tablespoonsshortning

Cooking Instructions

    Dissolve yeast and little bit of the milk

  2. 2

    Add rest of milk salt and molasses

  3. 3

    Mix well and add flour when partially mixed add shortning. Keep sides of pan clean

    Turn out on lightly floured surface and need till surface is elasticity and bubbly

  5. 5

    Cover and let stand 2 to 4 hours till double in size

  6. 6

    Knead down and let rise 45 min

  7. 7

    Knead down and let rise 15

  8. 8

    Cut into 2 loaves and put in greased bread pans

  9. 9

    Let rise 1 hour

  10. 10

    Bake at 400 degrees for 20 min turn oven down to 350 and bake another 40 min.
