Microwave Time-Saving German Potato

I'm always given a lot of sweet onions and fresh potatoes during this season. I make this a lot in order to use them up.
Keep the potatoes firm when microwaving. Avoid stirring when frying to prevent them from breaking apart for a nicer appearance. A strong salt and pepper flavoring is delicious. For 3-4 servings. Recipe by Rosemary*

Steps
- 1
Cut the potatoes and onions into 5 mm slices. Cut the bacon into 1 cm pieces, and the garlic into 1-2 mm pieces.
- 2
Soak the potatoes in water to reduce the stickiness and pop them in the microwave! Adjust the cooking time based on your microwave.
- 3
Heat the garlic in a frying pan with olive oil. Once it becomes aromatic, add the onions and bacon and cook.
- 4
Once the onions have wilted, add the potatoes!
- 5
Once it's browned to a delicious-looking color, flavor with salt and pepper and it's complete. Top with basil for a nice flavoring.
