Cut the komatsuna into bite-sized pieces.

Microwave the komatsuna for 1–2 minutes at 500W. I use a regular freezer bag, not a special cooking bag.

To keep the color bright and cool it quickly, pour tap water directly into the bag, then drain the komatsuna in a colander. Squeeze out excess water by hand.

Mix the squeezed komatsuna with the sesame seeds, sugar, and soy sauce. If you want to make a larger batch, just increase the amounts. I try to keep it low-sodium!

It's ready to serve.
