Ingredients

  • 3 poundsground beef
  • 46 ouncestomato juice
  • 10 ouncestomato puree
  • 1 candiced tomatoes
  • 15 ouncecan red kidney beans (drained)
  • canPinto beans
  • 1/2 cupschopped onion
  • 1/2 cupsdiced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cupsdiced celery
  • 1/4 cupchili powder
  • 1 tspground cumin
  • 1 1/2 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tspground black pepper
  • 1/2 tspdried whole oregano
  • 1/2 tspsugar
  • 1/8 tspcayenne pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Brown beef in a large skillet and drain fat

    Dice onion, bell pepper, and celery.

    Measure spices (I find it easier this way)

    Add it all ingredients to a 6 quart pot and simmer for 1-1 1/2 hour
