Wash and dry taro. Peel and cut into desired shapes.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker. Fry taro till light golden. Take out and keep aside.

Add 2-3 tbsp oil in the same pressure cooker. When warm add fenugreek seeds. Let them crackle. Add onion paste and ginger garlic paste.Cook 1 minute.

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and black pepper powder. Saute few minutes. Add water if required. Saute till oil seperates.

Add taro, add 1/2 cup water and salt. Pressure cook for 2-3 minutes on low medium flame.

Let pressure release itself. Taro masala curry is ready to be served. Serve with steamed rice or chapati.
