Heat the pan and pour the Oil.

Now, add red chilli, Bengal gram dal (Kadalai Paruppu), urad dal (Black gram) Sauté it until it turns golden brown.

Keep aside that mixture.

Now add that mixture in a mixer along with pinch of salt to blend.

Finally blended powder.

Now, add grated carrot sauté it for Some minutes until it being cooked.

Now add grated carrot, grated coconut, Tamarind, Hing (Asafoetida), water to the Blended powder.

Finally blend this mixture.

Blended mixture (chutney ready).

For tempering, heat the oil, add mustard Seeds (crackle them) and then Curry leaves.

Pour the tempering over the chutney.

Finally, Yummy carrot chutney is ready with hot idlies.
