Today I have made a bengali recipe kakrol bhorta. It's very easy to make. It's best goes to steam rice as side dish.

Today I have made a bengali recipe kakrol bhorta. It's very easy to make. It's best goes to steam rice as side dish.
Steps

First wash the kakrol and cut into round slices then add little salt and turmeric powder, mix it well.

Heat mustard oil in a kadai add kakrol pieces and fry them on low heat till golden brown and transfer into a plate and keep aside.

Same kadai add nigella seeds, chopped garlic, green chillies, ginger and saute few seconds then add chopped onion, salt and cook on low heat.

Once onion fry well then add fried spiny gourd pieces, mix it and turn off the flame, keep aside to cool down.

Once mixture cool down. Take a grinder jar add spiny gourds mixture and blend them with little turmeric powder and sugar into smooth paste.
Spiny Gourd / kakrol bhorta is ready. - 6
Serve it with steam rice as side dish.
