Wash the black-eyed peas and soak them in water for 2-3 hours. Dry roast the cumin seeds and whole coriander seeds, then add the dried red chilies and coconut powder, lightly dry them, and grind into a powder.

Add turmeric powder and salt to the black-eyed peas and cook in a pressure cooker until 3-4 whistles. In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add finely chopped onions and sauté. Add Kashmiri red chili powder.

Once the onions are sautéed, add the coconut powder. Add finely chopped ginger and sauté for 1 minute. Now add tamarind water. Add the boiled black-eyed peas. Add 1 cup of water and cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Delicious black-eyed peas are ready.
