Gambas al ajillo

This is a delicious dish that's very easy and quick to make, but you need to keep an eye on the stove so the garlic doesn't burn or the shrimp don't overcook. You can also make it with other types of shellfish.

This is a delicious dish that's very easy and quick to make, but you need to keep an eye on the stove so the garlic doesn't burn or the shrimp don't overcook. You can also make it with other types of shellfish.
Steps
- 1
Peel the shrimp, sprinkle with a little salt, and set aside. Prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- 2
Heat 2 or 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan (add more if you like extra sauce). Add the chopped garlic and cayenne peppers, and sauté.
- 3
When the garlic starts to turn golden, add the shrimp and a little more salt. Stir. As soon as all the shrimp turn white, turn off the heat and cover the pan. Wait 5 minutes and serve. If you like a stronger color and flavor, you can sprinkle a little paprika after removing from the heat.
