Ingredients

3 servings
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tspMadras curry powder
  • 1 tbspsugar
  • 1 tsppepper
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tbspfish sauce
  • 1/4 cuplemongrass stalk minced
  • 4garlic cloves minced
  • 1shallot minced
  • Wild betel leaves (10-20 depending on how much you stuff it with)
  • sticksSkewer
  • Peanuts
  • Fish sauce
  • Scallion oil

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Marinate beef for at least 30 mins with all the seasonings.

    Wash the leaves and pat then let them dry.

    Assemble the leaf with glossy side down. Add beef onto the leaf and roll (towards the stem side).

  4. 4

    Put onto skewers.

    Ideally you grill these–otherwise just broil them and make sure to broil on both sides to let them cook evenly or pan fry. Or airfry at 375F for 8-12 mins, flipping halfway.
