Navratri Special Sooji Halwa

#FF
May this Navratri Maa Durga brings peach, prosperity, joy and happiness for everyone.
Yearly ritual of offering Prasad to Goddess in the form of Kaala Chana, Poori or Sooji Halwa reminds us of our childhood days when we were 'KANJAKS' and treated like Goddess!☺️
How time just flies and now we are making such recipes we didn't ever imagined.
This Navratri made this easy go yet delicious sooji halwa by adding milk with cardamom flavour. Many variations to make Halwa either with water in place of milk. Either to put safron for color or you may dry roast nuts initially. I preferred this one, little different than usual which too came out delicious!

Steps
- 1
Take all ingredients together to make Rava Halwa. To begin with, heat ghee in wok. Put 1 cup semolina in a hot ghee.
- 2
Add 2 teaspoons gram flour and roast both the ingredients together on low medium heat until they turn aromatic and golden brown in color.
- 3
In a separate saucepan, boil 1 cup milk and add cardamom powder in the boiling milk. Stir for few minutes to get cardamom flavour in milk. Pour this boiling milk over the roasted sooji and stir continuously.
- 4
Keep stirring until the sooji begins to absorbs the milk. Further, add sugar and mix it well until the sugar dissolves completely.
- 5
Add Chopped nuts of your choice and give it a good mix. While serving, pour some more ghee onto the top if required. Top it with some more nuts.
- 6
I toped it with Sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. Ready to enjoy!
