A meat pie is a delicious pastry filled with seasoned minced meat (often beef, chicken, or pork) and gravy, sometimes mixed with vegetables like onions, carrots, or peas. It’s baked in a flaky crust and enjoyed worldwide in various styles😋

In a bowl, add 300g of all purpose flour, salt and margarine. Using rubbing method, mix all it up.

Add 100ml cold water to the dry ingredients and knead the dough until smooth. Divide the dough into 6 balls and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough into square shapes then stack together, applying margarine on each layer. Cover with a cling film and put it in the fridge for 30-40 minutes.

For the filling, put vegetable oil in a pan the add your diced onions. Add the minced meat the mix together until brown. Add curry powder, salt and black pepper and mix.

Then add 2 tsp of all purpose flour and mix it. Then add 100ml water and let it simmer until the water reduces.

Take the stacked dough and roll out and put the filling and seal the end using a fork. Apply egg wash on the pie.

Bake at 190° for 30-40 minutes. Serve while warm😄.
