Ingredients

20 mins.
6 servings
  1. 500 gbread flour
  2. 7 gfast action yeast
  3. 8 gsalt
  4. 3 gsugar
  5. 40 gblack treacle
  6. 375 gwarm water

Cooking Instructions

20 mins.

    Add the flour, salt, sugar, yeast to mixing bowl of stand mixer

  2. 2

    Make a well in the middle and add water and treacle.

    Knead with hook attachment in mixer for 15-20 mins until sides of bowl is clean and gluten is strong (you should be able to stretch dough without it breaking easily)

    Cover with cling film and leave to rise until doubled. (Takes 30-40 mins in oven with light on.

    Take out. Put oven on to pre heat to 210 fan assisted.

    Dump onto lightly floured side. Roughly size and shape to how you want (I just cut into 6, five them a little press and shape and stretch to get desired size)

    Put onto baking tray lined with parchment. Leave covered with clean towel for 15 mins whilst oven heats up

  8. 8

    Spray with water and Bake for 15 mins @210 and extra 5 mins at @180.

    Leave to cool for 30 mins before cutting and eating.
