Ingredients

  1. 1 tspOregano
  2. as neededParmesan cheese
  3. as neededSpaghetti
  4. 1 splash(optional) Red wine
  5. 1 can(use empty tomato paste can) + 1 can (use empty crushed tomatoes can) Water
  6. 1/4 tspGround cloves
  7. 2 tspSugar
  8. 2 tspItalian seasoning
  9. 1 tspParsley
  10. 1 can (28 oz)Crushed tomatoes
  11. 1 tspBasil
  12. 1 packageItalian sausage (mild)
  13. as neededOlive oil
  14. 2 clovesGarlic, minced
  15. 1Onion, diced
  16. 1 lbGround chuck, browned & drained
  17. 1 can (6 oz)Tomato paste

Cooking Instructions

    Brown and drain the ground chuck.

    Brown sausage links in 1 cup water, poke holes with a fork to release fat, cook 5-10 min.

    Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until soft, about 5 min.

    Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and fill each empty can (paste and tomatoes) with water, adding both to the pot.

    Add beef, all seasonings, and a splash of red wine.

  6. 6

    Add sausage. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for about 2 hours.

  7. 7

    Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.

    Serve sauce over spaghetti and top with Parmesan cheese.
