Ingredients

15-20 minutes
2-3 servings
  • 1/2 tbspOil
  • 1 cupsev, hard and thick / Sev (fried gram flour noodles)
  • 1/2 tspCumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/4 tspAsafoetida (hing)
  • 2chopped Green chilies
  • 1medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3-4Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1/4 tspCoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspRed chili powder
  • 1/2 tspsugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tspSalt(to taste)
  • 1/2 tspfresh Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tspgaram Masala

Steps

15-20 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat oil in a kadhai. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and green chilies. Saute for 2 minutes.

    Add onion and saute until lightly browned. Add tomatoes and cook until they become mushy.

    Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam Masala and salt. Mix well.

    Add a little water and cook for a while.
    Add sev and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the gas. Your Sev Tamatar Nu SHAAK is Ready...
