Ingredients

Total Time: 6–7 minutes= Prep 1 + Cooking 4 Min.
1 cup
  1. 1/2 tspAjwain (Carom seeds)
  2. 1/2 tspFennel seeds
  3. 1/2 inch(crushed or grated) ginjer
  4. 1 cupwater
  5. Honey or a pinch of salt – optional

Steps

Total Time: 6–7 minutes= Prep 1 + Cooking 4 Min.

    Heat 1 cup of water in a small pan.

    Once it begins to boil, add ajwain, fennel seeds and ginger.

    Boil on low flame for 3–4 minutes so the herbs release their full flavour and benefits.

    Add honey or a pinch of salt if you prefer. Strain into a cup.

Tips

∆ Add a pinch of black pepper for extra warmth.
∆ Replace ginger with dry ginger (saunth) in winter.
∆ For cooling digestion, add a few fennel seeds extra.
