Heat ghee in a pan.

Add makhana and roast on medium heat until crisp.

Let makhana cool, then grind into a coarse powder.

Grind almonds and cashews into a fine powder.

In a bowl, combine makhana powder, milk powder, ground nuts, cardamom powder, and saffron.

Mix well and store in an airtight container.

Boil milk in a pan.

Add premix and mix well.

Stir and cook for 6 minutes.

Add condensed milk and cook for 3 minutes until thickened.

Serve warm or chilled. Garnish with pistachios and saffron if desired.
