Avocado-Cacao breakfast bowl (avo-choc bowl)

Hello lovely people, welcome to my blog! 😁 I'm so excited to finally get this up and running! My recipes will be a mix of sweet and savoury, but LOTS of breakfast food because, well it's the best food, duh! All the recipes will be vegan as I follow a plant-based diet and lifestyle 🍃 I'll also occasionally share with you food that I've eaten out in restaurants, enjoy! ❤️
I had to write my first post on my favourite breakfast ever and it contains one of my favourite ingredients and one of the most nutritious ever, cacao. The avo-choc bowl! This is a blended combination of creamy avocado and cacao, tied together with almond milk, sweetened with maple syrup/agave and topped with a varying concoction of fruit, seeds, oats and sometimes a dollop of peanut butter😋. This is such an easy and extremely nutritious breakfast to literally throw together, everything is just chucked into a blender and is ready within seconds. It's so, so, so chocolate-y, filling and super creamy.
Before we get to the recipe, I'm just going to go off on a little cacao is amazing rant, but it won't take long so stay with me! Originally named "food of the gods" Cacao trees grow in places such as, the Amazon, Ghana, Philippines, Brazil, Ecuador and Togo. Steps

Cut avocado in half and remove stone, scoop out the flesh inside away from the skin

Blend all bowl ingredients in a blender/processor or with a hand-held bleder
- 3
Blend together until thick and creamy, adding enough almond milk/alternative to achieve desired consistency
- 4
Pour out into a bowl and assemble with chosen toppings!
