Ingredients

4 servings
  1. [Ingredients for Chicken meatballs]:
  2. 200 gground chicken
  3. 200 gtofu (drain water lightly)
  4. 1/2Japanese leek (finely chopped)
  5. 1 tbspgrated ginger
  6. 2~3 tbsppotato starch
  7. 1 tspsake
  8. 1/2salt
  9. 1/2~1 g pepper
  10. 1 tbspsesame oil
  11. [Sauce (mixed in advance)]:
  12. 2 tbspsake
  13. 2 1/2 tbspmirin
  14. 1 tbspsoy sauce
  15. 1 tbspsugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine all ingredients of the chicken meatballs well in a bowl. Adjust the hardness of the mixture. (If it is too soft, add potato starch) Let it stand in a fridge for about one hour. (after letting it stand, the mixture will be firmer than before)

    Make meatballs. It's really up to you how big or small you want.

  3. 3

    Heat the sesame oil in a pan, fry the meatballs until golden brown on both sids. Pour the sauce and cook down until the liquid is almost gone.
