By using the oven, you can skip the hassle of flipping and avoid using oil. Plus, you can make a large batch at once, which is great! While you can make these in the microwave, it requires flipping and you can only make a small amount at a time. If you want to make a large batch without flipping, the oven is recommended. みにぱぐ214Translated from Cookpad Japan -

Sweet Potato Chips Sweet Potato Chips
I love the salty butter flavor of "Osatsudoki" snacks, and wondered if I could recreate it at home. I gave it a try and my family loved it.☆So I published the recipe. If you slice the sweet potato too thick, it's difficult to quick-fry. Please be sure to adjust the flavor in Step 1. I added salt last, and it was nothing but a lump of salt in the end.I'm scared of flying hot oil, so I combined the oil and the sweet potato together. The oil doesn't have to be pre-warmed for you to be able to quick-fry. Home made oven chips!!! Home made oven chips!!!
One of my sons is poorly this week so I'm concentrating on cooking lots of comfort food - and who doesn't find hot crispy chips with salt, vinagre and heaps of tomato sauce comforting??!! I don't like frying chips in tons of oil, but they taste just as good cooked like this in the oven and are much healthier too. And since basically they just cook themselves, the hardest part is peeling them 😊👌👊 Becky
