Ingredients

4 servings
  1. Dalia balls ingredients :
  2. 1 cupDalia (see my corn & veggies Dalia recipe)
  3. Or
  4. 1 cupSoaked Dalia in hot water for 4 hours. Squeeze water
  5. 1finely chopped onion
  6. I/4 cup shredded carrot
  7. 1/4 cupboiled peas
  8. 1/2 tspginger finely chopped
  9. 2green chillies finely chopped
  10. 2 tspgreen coriander finely chopped
  11. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  12. to tasteSalt
  13. For batter :
  14. 1 cupbesan
  15. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  16. to tasteSalt
  17. 2 tspoil
  18. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  19. as neededOil to deep fry

Steps

  1. 1

    Add all except batter ingredients & oil for fry in a mixing bowl. Combine all.

  2. 2

    Make lemon size balls. Keep aside

  3. 3

    Add batter ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add required water and make thick batter like aloo bonda or pakode.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Dip one Dalia ball in besan batter and slide it in oil one by one. Deep fry bonda on medium flame until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
