Homemade Rice Pudding

This recipe is very simple and delicious. My kids eat it hot, but it's up to personal preference.
Homemade Rice Pudding
This recipe is very simple and delicious. My kids eat it hot, but it's up to personal preference.
Steps
- 1
Boil the water with the sugar and cinnamon stick.
- 2
When it starts to boil and the water looks brown, remove the cinnamon, lower the heat, add the rice, and cook until it fluffs up. If it starts to run out of water and hasn't fluffed up yet, add a little more. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. It should be watery but not soupy.
- 3
Once the rice has fluffed up, add the milk, mix well, and then add the 1 1/2 cans of sweetened condensed milk. Remove from heat. If you want to eat it cold, let it cool to room temperature and then refrigerate. Serve with raisins and ground cinnamon.
- 4
Note: It may be too sweet for some tastes. If so, you can use just a quarter cup of sugar when boiling and only add one can of sweetened condensed milk. Enjoy :)
