I love the flavors of nutmeg and red pepper flakes in this recipe. quick... simple. .. filling... versatile. .. and totally yummy
Cooking Instructions

in a non-stick skillet on medium heat... fry your ground sausage with your spices until browned and fully cooked.

drain grease all but about 2 tablespoons.

sprinkle the flour over the sausage... stirring constantly so that it doesn't stick ... until absorbed and you can smell a lovely "nutty" scent.

slowly stir in your milk... turn down the heat to low and allow to simmer with a lid on for a few minutes.

if your gravy is too thick. .. thin it with a little more milk or water... adding only a tablespoon or so at a time. if it is too thin... just add a little bit of flour only a teaspoon at a time. .. stirring well in between each addition giving it time to be absorbed.

serve over biscuits, cornbread, or even noodles.

This is my original version, that I came up with after a bit of experimentation.Be sure not to take your eyes off the pan, keeping watch so that it doesn't burn. Other than that, it's easy.
