Ingredients

5 servings
  • 1 cupRice
  • 2cupsWater – (hot)
  • 6-8Green chilli –
  • 1/3cupCoriander leaves –
  • 1inch Ginger –
  • 2-3 tbspGrated fresh coconut
  • 1/2tbspThe E Powder –
  • (Equal quantity of Laung, Dalchini & Elaichi powdered together)
  • 1/2 tspBlack pepper powder
  • 1 1/2tbspOil / Ghee – (I use 1 tbsp of ghee)
  • to tasteSalt
  • vegetables :
  • 1/2cupBeans
  • 1Onion
  • Carrot (1big), Broccoli (1/3 cup) & jackfruit (1cup)

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash & rinse the rice, drain all the water and keep it aside, and cut all the vegetables,

  2. 2

    Grind together green chilli, coriander leaves, ginger and coconut with very less water, heat Oil / Ghee in cooker, Put onion and fry till translucent, add L The E powder, ground paste and saute till raw smell goes

  3. 3

    Add rice and fry for a minute, add vegetables and fry while combining everything, add hot water and salt, close the lid and give it one whistle

  4. 4

    Serve with raita
