As a kid we had these and a bit bigger ones that were cream colored. We also pretended they were flying saucers either way we would devour them! These are also delicious stuffed with bulk sausage.

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 6small patty pan squash
  2. 6 teaspoonbutter
  3. To tastesalt
  4. To tastegranulated garlic powder
  5. 1-1/2 teaspoononion powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. 2

    Wash the squash

  3. 3

    Cut the stem end off flat so they will sit straight up

  4. 4

    Slice the tops flat and use a Mellon baller to scoop one scoop out of each

  5. 5

    Add the salt to the craters

  6. 6

    Pack the butter in the craters and add the garlic and onion powder.

  7. 7

    Put the ball of squash you scooped out back into craters

  8. 8

    Put into an oven safe dish and bake for 30 minutes.

  9. 9

    Serve I hope you enjoy!
