Ingredients

  1. 1 cupMoong dal
  2. 1 cuptoor dal
  3. 1 cuppeanuts
  4. 2drumstics cleaned
  5. 1small ball of tamarind
  6. 1 tspjaggery
  7. 1chopped onion
  8. 1tomato chopped
  9. 2-3green chillies chopped
  10. 7-8crushed garlic
  11. 1 cupchopped coriander
  12. 1 tspred chilli powder
  13. 1 tspmalvani masala
  14. 1 tspjeera powder
  15. 1 tspcoriander powder
  16. Pinchhaldi
  17. Hing rai jeera curry leaves for tadka

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash both Dals and peanuts. Pressure Cook along with chopped onion chillies and tomatoes.

  2. 2

    In a pot add oil when turns hot add tadka items and garlic half coriander all dry masalas and stirr continuesly. Add drumstic cover and let it cook.

  3. 3

    Later Add pressure cooked Dal and let it boil.

  4. 4

    Squeeze out the tamarind pulp and keep aside.

  5. 5

    Add pulp salt and jaggery in boiling dal. Add chopped coriander while serving.
