This is a Norwegian dish that is fantastic on a cold night. I got this recipe from a Norwegian cookbook and now I have to make it every Christmas Eve. These meatballs have a soft pillowy texture and taste amazing served with lefse or a soft flat bread.

This is a Norwegian dish that is fantastic on a cold night. I got this recipe from a Norwegian cookbook and now I have to make it every Christmas Eve. These meatballs have a soft pillowy texture and taste amazing served with lefse or a soft flat bread.

Add salt and flours to lamb and combine well. Add cream a little at a time beating well after each addition. It should have a thick consistency, but not soupy. Add nutmeg to taste.

Bring broth to a boil. Using 2 teaspoons make meatballs and drop into boiling broth. Lower heat and simmer until done. Serve piping hot and with flat bread such as lefse.
