Ingredients

30 mins
4 servings
  • 2capsicum
  • 2carrot
  • 1/2 kgrice flour or rava (sooji)
  • 5cashews
  • 5almonds
  • 1 tbspmustard seeds
  • 10curry leaves
  • 1 tspgaram masala
  • 1 tspred chilly powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric
  • salt
  • 3 tbspvegetable oil
  • 1 tspamchoor powder (dry mango)
  • 2 cupsour curd
  • 1tomato

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Add 1cup curd mix and keep aside for 5 mins .. Then again add 1 more cup of curd and mix it till a batter is formed.. Keep aside for 15 mins

  2. 2

    Put water in a steamer and steam idlis in the moulds for 15 mins or till fluffy and if pricked by a fork dosent stick

    On another pan heat oil and add mustard seeds

  4. 4

    Add tomato and carrot and capsicum finely chopped

  5. 5

    Add turmeric , red chilly powder , salt , garam masala

  6. 6

    Add steamed idlis cut into 4 pieces

    Add fried curry leaves on top and mix well

    Serve hot with tomato sauce
