Ingredients

  1. 1 packagesdry yeast
  2. 3/4 cupwarm water
  3. 1 tbspsugar
  4. 1/2 tspsalt
  5. 2 cupflour
  6. 1egg, beaten
  7. 1coarse salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 425°F

  2. 2

    Dissolve yeast in warm water in a medium bowl

  3. 3

    Add sugar and salt

  4. 4

    Stir in flour

  5. 5

    Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and dry

  6. 6

    Pull off bits of dough and shape

  7. 7

    Place on a greased cookie sheet

  8. 8

    Brush tops of pretzels with egg, then sprinkle with coarse salt

  9. 9

    Bake at 425°F for 10-15 minutes
