Fried Tofu (Aburaage) Appetizers with Shiso, Bacon, and Cheese Fried Tofu (Aburaage) Appetizers with Shiso, Bacon, and Cheese
I made this from what I had in my refrigerator. It was so good I thought I would share the recipe. The sandwich is delicious as is, but you can add ponzu or gelée sauce to it as you like for a different flavour.Instead of bacon, try ham or wiener sausages. You can use different ingredients. You can use melting sliced cheese instead of shredded cheese if you prefer. Recipe by EnjoyKitchen. cookpad.japan -
Bacon and Tofu stir-fry in Japanese Style gravy Bacon and Tofu stir-fry in Japanese Style gravy
Japanese style stir-fry with gravy (It's called "An-kake, pronounced "kakay"). Made with whatever I found in the fridge. You can use any vegetable or meat for this dish. I used home-made bacon to add flavor, but you can omit it if you are vegetarian. I would have added mushrooms if I had them. The gravy (An) is usually made with potato starch as a thickener, but you can use corn starch (or corn flour) if you don't have it. By the way, "kake" means to "pour over" so an-kake is a dish with gravy on it. Miyuki Suyari -
California Farm Tofu Bacon and Tofu Scrambled Eggs California Farm Tofu Bacon and Tofu Scrambled Eggs
Vegan bacon and vegan scrambled eggs breakfast. I use a thin layer of freshly made silken egg tofu sandwiched between marinaded rice papers or organic banana peels, cut in bacon size strips. Delicious crispy bacon. If you are a non-egg vegan, use my crumbled firm tofu instead of silken egg tofu.#GlobalCookpadGames2024 Hobby Horseman -
Deep-fried Edamame, Bacon, and Tofu Deep-fried Edamame, Bacon, and Tofu
I had plenty of tofu leftover in the refrigerator, so I made these adding various ingredients as a way of cleaning out the fridge. My kids loved it, said it was delicious. Please make them small when using katakuriko. With the bacon and frozen edamame they already were plenty salty so I didn't add any salt and pepper. They had plenty of flavor as-is.They're also delicious cold, and you don't need to add ketchup, salt, or anything else. Recipe by Satokopanta-ni cookpad.japan -
