Ingredients

1 hour
4 servings
  • For coating-
  • 1/2 cupAll purpose flour
  • 1/2 cupBengal gram Flour
  • Salt as per Taste
  • 1 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1tbspOil
  • 1 tspCarom seeds
  • Warm water for kneading stiff dough
  • For filling-
  • 1/2 cupCleaned,chopped,boiled and water drained spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cupCoriander leaves washed and chopped
  • 1 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1tspGreen Chilli paste
  • 1tbspGrated coconut
  • 2 tspPoppy seeds
  • Salt as per Taste
  • 1 tbspOil
  • 1 cupOil if deep frying
  • Oil just for brushing if baking
  • Milk for sealing pockets

Steps

    Mix all coating ingredients and make stiff dough.

  2. 2

    Cover it with samp cloth and keep it aside.

  3. 3

    Now heat one tbsp oil and cook all filling ingredients.

  4. 4

    Cook it till it dries.

  5. 5

    Let it cool.

  6. 6

    Divide dough in equal portions.

  7. 7

    Roll them one by one.

  8. 8

    Fill it with prepared filling and give packet shape.

  9. 9

    Seal it with help of milk.

  10. 10

    Now dust baking dish and brush oil on pockets.

  11. 11

    Now bake it in preheated oven for 10-10 minutes from both sides at 180°c.

  12. 12

    Or deep fry it till it tunrs Crispy and golden in colour.
