Now before I get lots of questions about the cream - that has a bit of leeway depending upon what you prefer. I usually use whole milk, half and half, or sour cream. I never use water as my liquid for this recipe.

So blend all your dry ingredients and blend in your choice of cream until a soft dough forms.
- 4
Drop rounded mounds with a spoon onto a baking sheet and cook until lightly browned. The timing really depends on your oven. But generally 12 - 16 minutes.
- 5
Serve hot or cold with butter or jam.

Butterless Drop Biscuits Butterless Drop Biscuits
Just as tender and fluffy as traditional drop biscuits, but don't let the name fool you. These are not fat free biscuits just because they are butterless. Lol. This is just a yummy version to whip up when you want biscuits, but find yourself without butter. StephieCanCook -

Flaky, Buttery Homemade Biscuits Flaky, Buttery Homemade Biscuits
If you're feeling like a decadent breakfast, you're going to love these biscuits! By repeated rolling out and folding dough, you create thousands of micro-layers of butter which will send you to a flaky and buttery heaven :P This is very easy to make but takes a couple hours of chilling time and folding repetitions. You may want to make the dough ahead the night before or enjoy for brunch (or breakfast-for-dinner, lol). Felice -

These have an American taste. Even though they're just ordinary biscuits, my husband took one bite and said, 'Delicious!' Split them in half and enjoy with butter, syrup, or jam as you like. The story behind this recipeMy husband likes savory biscuits. Sweet scones don't get this kind of reaction from him. さちごはんTranslated from Cookpad Japan
