Ingredients

20 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 medium size potatoes
  2. 2 cupscauliflower florets
  3. 1/2 cupgreen peas
  4. 1carrot
  5. Spice powders :
  6. 1 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric
  8. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  9. 1/2 tsppepper
  10. For the masala paste :
  11. 2 tbspskhus khus
  12. 3 tbspsgrated coconut
  13. For tempering :
  14. 2bay leaves
  15. 3Cardamon
  16. 3cloves
  17. 1small peice cinnamon
  18. 2chopped onion
  19. 1chopped tomatoe
  20. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  21. as neededSalt to season
  22. as neededWater
  23. as neededOil
  24. 4 tbspchopped Coriander

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak the khus khus in 1/2 cup water for 10inutes. Grind with coconut to a smooth paste and keep aside.

  2. 2

    Wash and chop vegetables in equally sized peices.

  3. 3

    Start tempering. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pressure pan. Add the whole spices. Saute.

  4. 4

    Add the ginger garlic paste and saute. Now add chopped onions and saute till transperant.

  5. 5

    Next add the tomatoes and saute. Add salt and masala powders. Cover and cook till mushy.

  6. 6

    Now add the khus khus paste and saute for 1 to 2 minutes till oil leaves the sides.

  7. 7

    Add the chopped vegetables now. Add 2 to 3 cups of water. Mix well. Pressure cook for 2 whistles.

  8. 8

    Let the pressure release. Open and add lots of chopped coriander. Serve with rice, chapatis, naans or pulavs. Enjoy.
