  1. Pulled Pork
  2. 4 lbPork Shoulder
  3. 2 tbspChili Powder
  4. 3 tspSalt
  5. 2 tspGarlic Powder
  6. 2 tspOnion Powder
  7. 2 tspFresh Ground Pepper
  8. 2 tspCumin
  9. 2 tspSmokey Paprika
  10. 1 tspGround Cayenne
  11. BBQ Sauce
  12. 4 1/2 cupBeef Stock
  13. 6 cloveGarlic, pressed or minced
  14. 3 can6-oz tomato paste
  15. 3/4 cupRaw Honey
  16. 3 tbspApple Cider Vinegar
  17. 6 tbspDijon Mustard
  18. 6 tspSmokey paprika
  19. 3 tspOnion Powder
  20. 3 tspChili Powder
  21. 1 1/2 tspCumin
  22. 1 1/2 tspSalt
  23. 1 1/2 tspCayenne

    First, Make the BBQ Sauce

  2. 2

    Simmer the beef stock and garlic together in a saucepan on medium heat for about 5 minutes. This allows the garlic to cook without burning. (You should be able to smell the garlic)

    Next add all remaining ingredients and whisk together in a saucepan

  4. 4

    Simmer on low heat for at least 25 minutes. This brings the flavors together.

    Crock Pot Cooking Instructions:

    Set Crock pot to LOW

  7. 7

    Combine all dry spices above into a small bowl

  8. 8

    Rub spices on all sides of the pork roast

  9. 9

    Place pork roast into the crock pot

  10. 10

    Pour about 1 cup of barbecue sauce over the pork roast

  11. 11

    Cook about 8 hours (it will look like there is not much liquid in the crock pot as it begins to cook – the pork will slowly add its own juices to the liquid)

  12. 12

    Remove pork from crock pot (keep Crock Pot on LOW)

  13. 13

    Strain remaining liquid – you should end up with approx. 2 cups of strained liquid

  14. 14

    Shred pork and place back into empty crock pot

  15. 15

    Pour the strained liquid back into the pot

  16. 16

    Next add 1 to 1 1/2 cups of barbecue sauce, stir and let simmer in crock pot about 30 minutes

  17. 17

    If you end up having extra BBQ sauce, once the sauce has simmered, bottle it up and store in refrigerator for up to one month.
