Steps

Wash and soak the daal for an hour

Pressure cook it adding salt turmeric powder and chilli powder

Heat a pan add oil and temper sahi jeera whole garam masala bay leaf and whole dry red chilli

Add onion slices,fry adding salt and turmeric powder till it becomes golden

Add ginger garlic paste,saute till raw smell evaporates.

Add tomato cubes and fry adding red chilli powder

As the tomato gets soft add jeera dhaniya powder and mix

Now mix the boiled daal and combine well

Now give it a boil and add sugar

In another pan add ghee fry some onion slices, tomato slices,red chilli and garam masala

Pour this over the daal and remove from oven

Daal fry is ready to be served.
