A super quick variety rice with South Indian spices and flavors. You may make the Tomato Thokku/Gojju in advance, store in a refrigerator for a week.

Cook 1 cup rice with sufficient water. Spread the cooked rice in a plate. Cool down.

Heat oil. Pop up mustard. Add channa dal and urad dal. Stir for a while.

Now add in the hing powder, curry leaves and fenugreek seeds.

Add finely chopped tomatoes, all spice powders and salt.

Cook till oil separates.

Tomato Thokku/Gojju is ready.

Add this thokku/gojju to rice. Mix well.

Offer South Indian Tomato Rice to Lord Sri Krishna and honor Krishna Prasadam.
