  1. 500 gramsdried fruit
  2. 1/2 pintswater
  3. 8 ozsugar
  4. 8 ozmarg/butter
  5. 1 lbs/f flour
  6. 2eggs

    preheat oven gasmark 3 1/2

  2. 2

    soak the fruit in the water nd add sugar boil gently for 30mins ao u boil sugar away

  3. 3

    turn of ring and add marg/butter cover with lid nd let marg melt into it when melted stir in

  4. 4

    add flour and beat in until all mixed well add beaten eggs nd beat in again untill all mixed well

  5. 5

    line 2meatlaof tins or medium round cake tins and devide the mixture into the 2 tins

  6. 6

    put in oven and cook for 1 3/4 until cooked

  7. 7

    if u wish to use the recipe for xmas cake ..add cold tea instead of water,brown sugar inatead of white spoonful of cinnimum nd mixed spice nd also cherries nd nuts wuth fruit and to make ir darker put 1tbsp of knorr gravey mix to it
