This is a traditional recipie from Karnataka also known as nuchinna unde / unde huli. Made up of all dals full of protein without oil at the same time tasty. My mother used to serve them hot hot with desi ghee... So yummy

This is a traditional recipie from Karnataka also known as nuchinna unde / unde huli. Made up of all dals full of protein without oil at the same time tasty. My mother used to serve them hot hot with desi ghee... So yummy

Soak the dals for about two hours.

Along with jeera, turmeric, hing grind the dals into a coarse paste

Add salt, chopped green chillies and chopped coriander leaves

Make balls and steam for seven minutes just like idli
- 5
Serve hot with ghee

With the measuring spoon in the pic I got twelve balls sufficient for two people.
