This is a traditional popular breakfast and snack item in south India known with varied names sarva pindi, tappela checkka etc. A filling delicious item which I am used to since my child hood days

Mix all the ingredients along with water to make into stiff dough

Put two spoons of oil in a kadai and press the rice flour dough along the kadai. Make holes in the middle. Take care to prepare only on a cold kadai

Put it on the stove covering with lid on small flame. After about four to five minutes you will hear sound of water falling down. At this stage remove lid and roast the roti all along if you want it very crisp.serve with ghee or coconut chutney

You can also add grated carrot, cucumber, finely chopped greens etc
