Ingredients

20-25 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 3.5 cupmilk
  2. 2.5 tbspsweetened condensed milk
  3. 4-5green cardamom powder
  4. 8-10almond chopped
  5. 7-8cashews chopped
  6. 7-8pistachio chopped
  7. 5-6saffron strands
  8. Pinchnutmeg powder (jaiphal powder)

Steps

20-25 minutes
  1. 1

    Take a heavy bottomed pan or kadai heat on add milk and sweetened condensed milk stir and mix well.

  2. 2

    Heat this mixture on a low flame and bring to a gentle boil. Add saffron strands mix well.

  3. 3

    Keep on stirring so that the mixture does not Browned or burnt from bottom.

  4. 4

    The basundi mixture would begin to thicken scrape the milk from the sides of kadai and mix in the mixture.

  5. 5

    Add nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, chopped dry fruits.

  6. 6

    Stir and simmer basundi for a minute. Heat off.

  7. 7

    Serve hot, warm or chilled.
