Ingredients

  1. 1 cupchopped vegetables (carrots,peas, bell peppers, cauliflower florets)boiled
  2. 1egg scrambled
  3. 1/2 cupchopped onion
  4. 1 teaspoonginger paste
  5. 250 gmflattened rice or poha washed and softened
  6. 1Chorizo
  7. 250 gmsmince meat
  8. 1 teaspoongaram masala
  9. 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
  10. 1 teaspooncumin powder
  11. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  12. 100soaked cashews and raisins
  13. 1Bay leaf
  14. 4Cardamon pods
  15. 1 pinchcumin seeds
  16. 1 pinchasafoetida or hing
  17. As neededGhee
  18. As neededLime for garnishing
  19. to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the mince meat with all the dry spice powders until it releases oil

  2. 2

    Fry the boiled Vegetables in the same oil

  3. 3

    Add oil if needed. Poha requires more oil than usual.

  4. 4

    Temper it with whole garam masala, a pinch of cumin seeds and a pinch of asafoetida

  5. 5

    Add the chopped onions and ginger paste

  6. 6

    Cook until onions become translucent

  7. 7

    Add the fried vegetables.

  8. 8

    Add the cooked mince meat or chorizo

  9. 9

    Add the scrambled eggs

  10. 10

    Add the poha

  11. 11

    Mix well and fry for 10 mins

  12. 12

    Add oil if needed

  13. 13

    Add salt and sugar to taste

  14. 14

    When the grains are nicely coated and are fried well, turn off the stove

  15. 15

    Add some garam masala powder and ghee on top

  16. 16

    Mix well and squeeze some lime on top

  17. 17

    Serve hot
