Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 4potato boiled and mashed
  2. 2green chilli finely chopped
  3. 2 tbspcornflour
  4. 1 tsplemon juice
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. as neededOil
  7. 3 tbspchana daal/ Bengal gram
  8. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  9. 1/2dry mango powder
  10. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  11. to tasteSalt
  12. 1/2 cuptamarind chutney
  13. 1/4 cupgreen chutney
  14. 1/2 cupbeaten curd
  15. 1/2 cupfinely chopped onion
  16. 1/2 cupsev
  17. 1 tspChaat masala for garnishing
  18. to tasteRed chilli powder for garnishing
  19. as neededChopped coriander

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak chanadal for 2 hours, drain and pressure cook along with 1/4 cup water and salt for 4 whistle do not over cook it

  2. 2

    Strain the water and let it cool

  3. 3

    For filling mix red chilli, mango powder, garam masala and salt in chanadal

  4. 4

    In mashed potato add cornflour, green chilli, lemon juice and salt and mix it nicely

  5. 5

    Take a lemon size ball of potato and flatten it put one spoon of filling in between and wrap it from all side to seal it make all patty like this

  6. 6

    Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry it till golden brown from both sides

  7. 7

    Take it out in a serving plate and press it slightly put green chutney, tamarind chutney on it

  8. 8

    Put curd, red chilli powder, onion, sev, and chaat masala and serve
