Ingredients

  1. 250 gmrava
  2. 600 gmsugar
  3. 1/2medium grated coconut(fresh or dry)
  4. 250 gmghee
  5. 1 teaspoonpowdered green cardamom
  6. 2 tablespoonchopped cashews
  7. 1/4 cupwater
  8. 3 tbspalmonds
  9. 1 tbspRaisins

Steps

  1. 1

    For making rava coconut burfi,heat little ghee in a pan over medium flame.

  2. 2

    Fry the cashewnuts and almonds lightly and remove.

  3. 3

    Add the grated coconut and fry lightly. Remove and keep aside.

  4. 4

    Add a little ghee to the pan and fry the rava till golden on simmer flame.Add coconut and dry fruits.

  5. 5

    Mix sugar with water and bring to a boil.

  6. 6

    Add 1 tsp of milk and remove the scum that rise to the top.
    Boil till the mixture reaches a one string consistency.Add raisins.

  7. 7

    Add the prepared syrup in rava,coconut and dry fruits mixture.
    Stir well, adding a little ghee from time to time, till thick.

  8. 8

    Pour into a plate and keep aside to cool.Spread some more chopped dry fruits.
    Before it cools fully, slice into desired shapes.

  9. 9

    Store in an airtight container. Serve as and when required.
