Ingredients

  1. 2 cupssemolina
  2. 3chopped green chillies
  3. 1/4 tspmustard seeds
  4. 2 tbspoil
  5. 1 pinchturmeric
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 1/2 cupfinely chopped onions
  8. 1 litrewater
  9. For the Paste
  10. 1/4 cupcoriander leaves
  11. 1 tbspmint leaves
  12. 2green chillies
  13. 1 tbspchopped onion
  14. 1/2 tbsproasted pea nut powder
  15. to tastesalt
  16. 1 tsplemon juice

    Make the paste of above ingredients and keep aside

  2. 2

    Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the urad dal and mustard seeds.

  3. 3

    When the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida, curry leaves, green chillies and onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.

  4. 4

    Add the semolina and saute on a medium flame till light brown in colour

  5. 5

    Add 1 litre s of hot water, the above paste and salt and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till the water evaporates stirring continuously.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with pickle. Enjoy!
