Steps

10mins
  1. 1

Mix akawu and little water in a small bowl and set it aside

  2. 2

Wash pepper and onion; dice in big chunks and place inside a mortar then pound till it’s shredded add little salt while pounding

  3. 3

In another bowl add oil and sieve in the akawu water into the oil and stir gently till its thickened and the paste changes its color to yellow

  4. 4

Add the pounded onions and pepper and salt to taste; serve along side boiled yam and enjoy your meal

  5. 5

Note: some like to warm the paste to get the fresh pepper and onion cooked abit remember once you heat it up the thickness of the ngoo goes away; for me I love the freshness of all the ingredients together

I love to experiment base on what I can see in the kitchen; I walk into the kitchen blind and I come out with a plate of food. My kitchen is my laboratory and you can be my lab rat 😋😋😋. A foodie by day and A foodie by night. #Icookueat
