Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoonplain flour
  • 2 tablespoonwheat flour
  • 2 tablespoonroasted fine semolina
  • 2 tablespoonroasted gram flour
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • 1 cuppowdered jaggery
  • 1 teaspoonfine cardamom powder
  • 10-12almonds
  • 2 tablespoon+2 teaspoon ghee
  • 4-5broken cashews
  • 4-5raisins
  • 2-3pistachios slivered finely

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the almonds in water for 4-6 hours

  2. 2

    Peel them post soaking and blend them into a paste using the milk

  3. 3

    Melt 2 tablespoon ghee in a wok

  4. 4

    Add and sauté the cashews and raisins

  5. 5

    Once the cashews brown and raisins puff up, take them off heat and keep aside

  6. 6

    Now in the same wok, add all the flours and semolina

  7. 7

    Sauté on medium heat until aromatic

  8. 8

    Add the jaggery now and mix well

  9. 9

    Add the almond- milk paste and mix until combined

  10. 10

    Once done, the halwa should leave the sides of the wok too

  11. 11

    Add 2 teaspoon ghee, fried cashews- raisins and cardamom powder

  12. 12

    Mix all the ingredients well and take off heat

  13. 13

    Transfer into serving bowls

  14. 14

    Offer as naivedya/prasadam garnished with slivered pistachios and enjoy while the halwa is warm
