Jaggery and Sesame Seeds Laddu

Laddu is an Indian sweet dish made during festive seasons. These jaggery and til (sesame seed) laddus are extremely flavoursome and are sure to be loved by those who have a sweet tooth. They are very healthy too, and are good for diabetes too. Dry roasted sesame seeds are sweetened with jaggery to make delicious laddus. Unlike sugar, jaggery has a distinctive flavour, which complements the other ingredients beautifully. This is a traditional Maharashtrian sweet.

Steps

Roast the sesame seeds til till they become light brown in colour.

Mix the roasted til and grated jaggery and grind in a mixer till soft.

Remove from the mixer and divide into 7-8 portions and make small balls of the mixture.

If required, add 1-2 tea spoons of milk while making the laddus for binding.
