Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoonsugar(adjust to taste)
  • 3 cupsflour
  • 2 tablespoonyeast
  • 1whole coconut grated and blended roughly with warm water
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh Coconut milk

Steps

  1. 1

    Test your yeast activeness by putting the two tablespoons yeast in a small bowl. Add warm water and little sugar.
    Set aside to rise.

    If you don't have fresh coconut milk. Add little water to the grated coconut and blend roughly. Turn everything in a bowl. This step is important to taste coconut in your puff puff

  3. 3

    Get a bigger bowl and mix the flour, sugar, activated yeast, blended coconut. Mix everything thoroughly with warm water to get a light coconut mix.

  4. 4

    Keep in a warm place for 25 minutes
    After that tiny air bubbles will form at the top. Stir the mix thoroughly to form a smooth paste

  5. 5

    Heat vegetable oil to be very hot and fry in batches.
